![]() Turning it off will improve Performance a bit.ĭepthOfField= This is a post processing feature by your GPU that adds a layer of blur to objects/textures the further they are from the camera. Set it to 1 to enable it, or 0 to disable. Which is a VERY cool and visually pleasing effect. MotionBlurSkinning= in the Unreal 3 Engine, it makes objects and textures that are moving quickly past you, blurred. MotionBlur= best turned off for improved fps Higher FPS with no visual difference is a good thing.ĭirectionalLightmaps= This setting gives a "bump mapping / shiny" type effect to textures, making them look more like a real surface then just a 2d texture. I saw no visual difference between this being on or off, which is a good thing. So if your in a dark cave or under a large tree, if you go deep enough into the shadow, a secondary shadow will be created, possibly projected in a different direction than the sun/moon whatever.ĬompositeDynamicLights= This setting simplifies dynamic lights, and by doing so, supposedly increases performance. LightEnvironmentShadows= This command is supposed to create shadows in areas that are blocked from the main light source, like the sun or moon. You can turn this option off, and still retain blob shadows and tree canopies etc. Dynamic shadows are the very CPU intensive kind. False for better performance/fpsĭynamicDecals= Turns on temporary transparent textures that pop up and fade away eventually such as blood stains on the ground from combat.ĭecalCullDistanceScale=0.25 This setting changes how far into the distance decals are viewed before they disappearĭynamicShadows= This turns on any shadow that is created and regularly updated as the object casting the shadow moves. StaticDecals= Turns on permanent decoration type transparent textures that are laid ontop of objects or surfaces. MaxSmoothedFrameRate= This not only sets the Max for smoothing to be enabled but it will cap your games framerate at this. MinSmoothedFrameRate= This sets the minimum framerate you want smoothing to be enabled. If you know any other ones i would be glad to add it. Here is some Info on what some of the settings in the files acually do I don't take credit for any of it I found it after hunting for some info on it. These are the settings i use on my PC and it has a Intel chip graphics. High: (MinLODSize=1,MaxLODSize=2048,LODBias=0) Medium: (MinLODSize=1,MaxLODSize=1024,LODBias=0) Low: (MinLODSize=1,MaxLODSize=512,LODBias=0) To change the Size you have to replace the (MinLODSize=0,MaxLODSize=0,LODBias=0) after the = with one of these (or type a size yourself):įor the MaxLODSize=X on any of the textures you can change the sizes to anything you want.Īs far as all the test I have done on changing the sizes its best to go thru and pick what you want to be lower or higher based on how good your PC and if you care what the texture looks like. TEXTUREGROUP_Character everything below that all the way to at the end of the page can be changed to lower the quality of the texture. MotionBlurPause=False (False for FPS boost)ĪllowRadialBlur=False (False for FPS boost) ![]() I would suggest changing these settings first. The File in the location above DefaultSystemSettings.ini is where you can change settings to get a lot more fps. I would suggest you go thru the file and test.Ĭ:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rocketleague\TAGame\Config This file TASystemSettings.ini located above contains more in depth setting than in-game (All change made in-game while READ-ONLY is enabled will go back to previous settings after restarting game.)Ĭ:\Users\Your User\Documents\My Games\Rocket League\TAGame\Config Also After Changing any setting in the files you MUST change the FIle to (READ-ONLY) in File Properties Or your settings may change on you after restarting game. Make Sure you make Backup copys of the two files before hand in case you mess up something bad. There are two separate config files you can tweak for performance or better Graphics. Lets start what and where you find the files to Customize your game Graphics.
